Set structures and constraints of idealised forms impedes the process of listening to the “breaking news” of the body. This breaking news tells us what is happening at all levels of embodiment, that is, physically, energetically, emotionally, mentally and even spiritually and what might be necessary for restoring balance
— Donna Farhi

My personal movement practice has been influenced by many different yoga lineages alongside Feldenkrais, Somatics and the Alexander Technique and these are all reflected in how I teach.

I encourage all those who attend my classes to be guided by their personal experience, in the present moment. Every body is different, each with a unique musculoskeletal system, which I aim to honour as I guide classes. Options are given to ensure everyone feels included in a positive practice; this includes encouragement to adapt shapes I am guiding to suit your individual body, not forcing your body into a shape that does not work for you and to pause, rest, reflect when needed. There is no ‘one size fits all’ when we get onto a mat, and it essential to honour ourselves.

Classes are designed to reduce stress and build muscle strength leading to healthier joints and increasing flexibility. By moving mindfully, you can support an improvement in your posture and focus. By integrating active movement and breathwork, with pauses, the response of the autonomic nervous system becomes more balanced.

Classes are suitable for all levels of experience
